В Казахстане рассматривается пилотный проект, направленный на упрощение процедуры получения индивидуального идентификационного номера (ИИН) для иностранцев и лиц без гражданства. В рамках проекта предполагается, что загранучреждения Казахстана и Министерство иностранных дел (МИД) будут принимать заявления и выдавать ИИН различным категориям иностранных граждан, что значительно сократит сроки и упростит процесс оформления.

Новая система будет распространяться на инвесторов, экспортеров, супругов граждан Казахстана, иностранных наследников, участников программ Digital Nomad Residency и Digital Nomad Visa, а также на лиц с инвалидностью и граждан старше 65 лет. Кроме того, сотрудники дипломатических представительств смогут получать ИИН через МИД Казахстана.
