Post-Brexit sanctions response paper published

On 2 August 2017, the UK government published its response to the consultation on the UK's future legal framework for imposing and implementing sanctions. The response paper sets out proposals as to how the UK intends to impose and implement sanctions in order to comply with obligations under the UN Charter, which are currently established under the European Communities Act 1972. UK government publishes Brexit policy papers

In August 2017, the UK government published a number of policy papers setting out its proposals for a future relationship with the EU in specific areas, including.

• a policy paper on future customs arrangements. The paper sets out the government's priorities in negotiating a new customs relationship with the EU. Jersey's government welcomed the policy paper in its own press release;
