21日に開かれた北京市の知的財産権保護状況に関する記者会見によると、北京市の昨年の特許出願件数は22万6100件で、うち発明特許は12万9900件と全国で最も高い割合を占めた。特許取得件数は13万1700件で、うち発明特許は5万3100件。特許協力条約（PCT）に基づく国際特許出願件数は7200件。北京市の1万人あたり発明特許保有件数は全国トップの132件で、全国平均水準の10倍近くにのぼる。
また北京市の商標出願件数は54万6600件、登録件数は47万4600件で、有効商標登録件数は192万2000件にのぼる。市全体の著作権登録件数は100万3100件で、全国首位をキープした。
