New guidance is available for UK nationals following the Brexit transition
UK nationals and their dependents may obtain an ‘attestazione di iscrizione anagrafica' if they were residents of Italy before December 31, 2020
UK nationals may obtain a five-year or 10-year residence permit
An in-person application submission and biometrics are required to obtain a residence permit
UK nationals who are employed or self-employed can verify their status with an electronic document
UK nationals should file their residency application by June 30, 2021
Individuals arriving in Italy and beginning work after January 1, 2021 must obtain the same work authorization as non-EU nationals
