Guernsey's captive insurance industry has picked up a
prestigious international award.
Just a week after retaining the
Best Non-Asian Domicile award at the 2019 Asia Captive Review
Awards, the island was named Domicile of the Year at the UK
& EU Captive Review Awards in London.
The awards, hosted by Captive Review magazine, recognise
excellence in the delivery and management of captive insurance.
Guernsey's entry focused on how captive business has grown
over the last year, its European operation and developments in the
wider insurance market over the last year, including the
world's first hybrid vehicle for the insurance-linked
securities sector and new rollover provisions. The island beat
shortlisted Vermont, Delaware and Malta to claim the award.
