Guernsey Finance will update the local finance industry on
progress made in 2018 and plans for next year at its annual
Industry Update, to be held on Thursday 24 January.
The island's finance industry made progress in several key
areas in 2018, including launching Guernsey Green Finance, aimed at
positioning the island as a global financial specialist centre at
the forefront of developments in green and sustainable finance,
promoting its global distribution capabilities in investment funds,
and developing the recently-announced policy framework to develop
and support the growth of the sector.
Miles Celic, Chief Executive of TheCityUK – the
representative body which champions the UK-based financial and
related professional services industry – also returns as
keynote speaker for the event to offer a broader overview of the
business and political climate in financial services nationally
after a tumultuous year.
