New entry regulations due to COVID-19 pandemic
Effective immediately, all travelers from the following
countries must go into quarantine after entering Japan:
- Canada
- USA (certain states)
- Kenya
- Tanzania
- Nigeria
- Georgia
- Poland
- Liechtenstein
- Luxembourg
Quarantine must be completed in one of the predetermined
government facilities.
Due to the pandemic, Japan is now extending all Certificates of
Eligibility issued between January 1, 2020 and October 31, 2021 to
April 30, 2022. All Certificates of Eligibility issued on or after
November 1, 2021 will remain valid for 6 months.
