Introduction of a System for Wage Payment and Wage Protection
On September 28, 2026, the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) launched the Kuwaiti payroll system. This new system provides a central platform for the
processing and monitoring of payroll payments in the private sector through local banks for both Kuwaiti and foreign workers. It is also designed to
enable comparisons between transferred salaries and documented employment contracts (based on pre-launch reports) and enhance the security,
reliability, efficiency, and transparency of payroll payments through real-time monitoring of salary transfers.
