In response to the #COVID19 pandemic, under the advice of the
Government, many employers were forced to allow staff to work from
home, significantly reducing the number of employees working from
the office. While we continue to phase staff back into the office,
#HR manager Hayley Xerri, who provides both internal and outsourced
HR services, looked at how working from home impacted staff
sickness days.
Hayley compared this year's data with that from 2019, and
found a significant drop in sickness when staff were working from
home. She explores the potential causes of this, what this means
for business leaders and HR practitioners, and the differences
between physical and mental health when working from home.
