With 270 planned projects included in the Logistics Investments Program (PIL) and an investment estimated at approximately R$ 7.3 billion, regional aviation will start playing an important role for the Brazilian Government in 2015.

During a recent interview, the Minister of the Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SAC), Mr. Eliseu Padilha, stated that the resources to the projects of regional aviation program will not fall short, once such projects may count on their own resources, regardless whether the resources are transferred by the Government or not. The National Fund for Civil Aviation (FNAC) may finance the program with resources from the concession fees paid by airports already implemented, as well as airport charges.
