​A Agência Nacional do Petróleo, Gás Natural e Biocombustíveis - ANP publicou, em 17 de julho de 2017, a Resolução nº 692/2017. O texto regulamenta o Programa de Regularização de Débitos (PRD), anteriormente instituído pela Medida Provisória nº 780/2017.

Com o PRD, fica permitida a quitação de débitos com a ANP, administrativos ou judiciais, constituídos ou não, inscritos em dívida ativa ou não, desde que vencidos até 31 de março de 2017.

A grande vantagem da inclusão e pagamento de débitos no PRD é a redução dos juros e multas impostos, além da possibilidade de quitação parcelada dos valores cobrados pela ANP. Os benefícios para cada opção de pagamento são os seguintes:
