I work closely with legal directors in critical markets to anticipate policy and geopolitical trends, define action plans, and help shape an environment that supports innovation and health‑system sustainability. New U.S. legislation has far‑reaching U.S. and ex‑U.S. implications, increasing the need for Legal to engage earlier, be focused, move faster, and translate political and regulatory risk into clear, strategic guidance that enables resilient pricing and access decisions.

How is your organisation adapting to the rapid evolution of data protection, AI governance and cybersecurity requirements in Brazil?

We are adapting by embedding data protection, AI governance, and cybersecurity into business strategy, rather than treating them as standalone compliance topics. Legal has developed deeper commercial fluency, scalable use of AI, and closer partnerships with global, IT, and commercial teams. This enables us to translate complex regulatory, political, and cyber risks into clear, actionable guidance that supports responsible innovation, resilient digital transformation, and sustainable value creation in international markets. I have leveraged AI within Legal to reuse and tailor approved legal and training materials by audience, ensuring alignment with legal guidelines and principle‑based advice. AI detects and flags inconsistencies with contractual obligations, establishes a single, consistent interpretation of guardrails, and identifies recurring questions and high‑risk scenarios early.
