Selborne Chambers

Matthew became a tenant at Selborne Chambers in December 2024, following the successful completion of his pupillage.

Matthew studied history and law at the Queen’s University Belfast before practising at the bar of Northern Ireland, where he was called in 2021. He undertook pupillage with an eminent chancery practitioner and gained experience in a broad range of areas relating to property and commercial disputes, quickly founding his own practice which included advising developers in complex matters involving title to land.

Especial areas of interest include: title disputes; business tenancies; possession proceedings; the Electronic Communications Code; freehold covenants; easements and profits; escheat and bona vacantia.
