Michael joined Trinity Chambers in 2021. He has developed an extensive practice and is a versatile and sought after member of the Business and Property and Family Teams. Michael prides himself on developing strong working relationships with his instructing solicitors and is adept at engaging with lay clients, often in highly stressful situations. He has a reputation for sound judgement, practical advice, and pragmatic solutions to disputes.

Michael appears in Courts and Tribunals nationwide. His work includes a number of multi-track and fast track matters across the range of his practice areas. He has successfully brought claims for injunctions to enforce restrictive covenants and has been led in a long-running commercial dispute in the High Court.

ToLATA & Matrimonial Finance
Michael accepts instructions in ToLATA disputes and Matrimonial Finance Work. He has a particular interest in the application of broader civil law principles in the resolution of disputes in the matrimonial context.
Housing
He has an extensive housing practice in which he acts for both landlords and tenants. His areas of expertise include:

  • Discrimination in the context of housing claims
  • Possession claims
  • Anti-social behaviour
  • Housing disrepair

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Before joining Trinity Chambers, Michael gained legal experience in England and Australia and worked for the Department for Work and Pensions. While studying in Melbourne, Michael's Masters had a particular focus on commercial and Chancery law.

Outside of work, Michael is a keen cricketer who umpires and plays for his local club and in various competitions.
