Family finance, Children (Private Law)

Position

Andrew’s practice focuses on all aspects of family finance and private children law. Andrew represents clients across the North East and North West of England. He joined St John’s Buildings as a tenant in June 2024, having practised from his previous set since 2022.

Andrew prides himself on his preparation and client care. He takes a pragmatic approach to negotiations and is adept at reaching settlements at court, although where that is not possible, he is always willing to fight for his clients.

Andrew is developing a specialist finance practice and is experienced representing clients at all stages of financial remedy proceedings, as well as interim applications, applications for enforcement, variation of periodical payments order, and applications for costs. He also receives instructions to prepare written advices. Andrew looks forward to building his finance practice with the mentorship of Sally Harrison KC.

Andrew regularly acts for parents at all stages of private children proceedings, including fact-finding hearings and final hearings. He has experience with issues such as parental alienation, implacable hostility, domestic abuse, relocation, and travel abroad to non-Hague Convention jurisdictions.
