Position
Phoebe Bragg is a specialist advocate with substantial experience of serious and complex cases, both defending and prosecuting.
She is regularly instructed as led junior and has established a reputation as an exceptionally diligent, committed and capable barrister who offers outstanding client care. Her attention to detail and her ability to establish rapport make her popular with colleagues and clients, both lay and professional. Phoebe has proven herself to be especially adept in complex cases involving expert telephone and device, forensic and banking evidence.
Phoebe’s practice encompasses all forms of serious offending, and she has particular experience of cases involving multi-national fraud and money laundering. Her experience includes advising at the investigation stage, large scale disclosure exercises, applications involving confiscation and civil recovery as well as representing clients both in the criminal courts and in Public Inquiries.
Phoebe also specialises in cases involving sexual offences, drugs and serious violence. She is the co-author, with Sarah Forshaw KC, of a chapter on the disclosure of evidence in sexual assault cases in “Current Practice in Forensic Medicine” [Vol 3]. Advocacy is at the core of her practice. Phoebe has undertaken vulnerable witness training and has been involved in cases involving child and vulnerable witnesses, as well as cross-examination of various experts.
Phoebe also undertakes Inquiry and Regulatory work and, by way of example, has worked on the Grenfell Inquiry, the Post Office “Horizon” Inquiry and multiple multi-jurisdictional financial fraud matters for the FCA.
She is public-access qualified.
