Luke Garrett is a civil barrister with a broad practice spanning commercial, employment, personal injury, and public law.

He is known for his clear, responsive and strategic approach, combining meticulous preparation with confident advocacy. He receives instructions from both claimants and defendants, including individuals, SMEs, public bodies, and multinational organisations.

Luke’s commercial and Chancery practice includes landlord and tenant disputes, contractual claims, credit hire, debt recovery, and urgent injunctive relief. He appears regularly in the County Court and High Court and is praised for both attention to detail and effective case presentation.

In employment law, Luke advises and represents clients in all aspects of tribunal litigation, including unfair dismissal, whistleblowing, discrimination, TUPE, redundancy and breach of contract. He is also experienced in professional disciplinary matters, appearing before regulatory bodies in hearings concerning alleged misconduct.

His personal injury work includes fatal accidents, highways claims, workplace injuries and litigation under the Occupiers’ Liability Act, with further expertise in detailed costs assessment. He also acts in inquests, particularly those arising from road traffic deaths, and associated judicial review proceedings.

Luke’s practice also includes immigration and asylum matters, where he provides advice and advocacy across a range of hearings.
