Career

Biography

Following the successful completion of her pupillage, Lauren joined Chambers as a Tenant in October 2025.

Prior to undertaking pupillage, Lauren worked as a Criminal Defence Paralegal at Lloyds PR Solicitors. Lauren managed her own caseload daily, which included committals for sentence and trial files. Lauren would regularly assist other members of the firm with case preparation and evidence analysis in larger cases which included allegations of fraud and drug supply.

Lauren is passionate about volunteer work and has previously volunteered as a student adviser in BPP University’s Family Legal Advice Clinic. Lauren advised clients on matters such as divorce, making applications to court, orders relating to children and financial issues. Additionally, Lauren was previously a Witness Service volunteer for Citizens Advice where she informed prosecution witnesses on the process of giving evidence in court and offered support through the trial process. As part of this role, Lauren wrote an article in the Volunteers Week Newsletter detailing her progress to the Bar since undertaking this role. Most recently before commencing pupillage, Lauren finished volunteering as an Independent Custody Visitor for Surrey. In this role she ensured the rights and entitlements of detainees were upheld while they were held in custody.

Outside of work Lauren is a keen traveller and seeks to learn about the world and different cultures.
