Oliver joined chambers in September 2025 following successful completion of his pupillage.

Oliver previously worked as a researcher at the BBC, spending time in network and local news, current affairs and the World Service.  

Throughout his legal studies, Oliver was a volunteer advocate and student director of the School Exclusion Project. He represented parents at appeal panels whose children had been permanently excluded.

Oliver is a member of the governing board of Stepney All Saints School in Tower Hamlets. He is the vice-chair of the personnel and curriculum committee and the link governor for sixth form pastoral care, IT safeguarding and political sciences.
