Becky Littlewood

Position

Becky covers all areas of Family Law, in particular care and financial remedy proceedings. She is friendly and approachable but a fierce advocate on her clients’ behalf.

In financial remedy proceedings she deals with cases ranging from those dominated by need to those where the assets are substantial or difficult to trace. Recently she successfully represented a wife after a long marriage, where the parties ran separate businesses and their wealth came from inherited assets. She successfully ring-fenced relying on Standish. She also represented a husband in a case involving severely disabled children.

In care proceedings she predominantly represents children and parents. She has particular expertise in working with parents with severe learning difficulties or mental health problems. Her cases involve FII, serious non-accidental injury and child-kidnapping within care proceedings.  She was recently led by Andrew Bagchi KC in Re W (Appeal: Fact-Finding) [2024] EWCA Civ 1590

In private law proceedings she represents both mothers and fathers and rule 16.4 guardians in intractable child arrangement disputes. Oftentimes where there are allegations and counter allegations of abuse where there is a recommendation for a transfer of residence.

Becky is trained in direct access and is a fully accredited mediator for both children and finances. Many of her direct access clients are personal recommendations.
