Abdul-Lateef Jinadu specialises in construction, engineering, infrastructure and energy disputes, with a substantial international arbitration practice as both counsel and arbitrator. Called to the Bar in 1995, he has practised from Keating Chambers since 1996 and acts for contractors, employers, government entities, utilities, consultants and international organisations on complex, high-value disputes. He sits regularly as arbitrator in international commercial and construction disputes.
Abdul has extensive experience of major infrastructure and energy projects, including disputes arising from oil and gas facilities, renewable energy developments, transport infrastructure, ports, marine works, mining operations and industrial facilities. His practice encompasses litigation, arbitration, adjudication and complex advisory work across the full project lifecycle. He also has notable experience of building safety and cladding disputes, having acted as specialist construction counsel to the Bereaved, Survivors and Residents in the Grenfell Tower Inquiry.
A significant part of Abdul's practice has an international focus, particularly across Africa and the Middle East. He has acted in disputes and arbitrations involving projects in the GCC, Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania, Kenya, Sierra Leone and the wider African region, as well as advising on projects throughout the Middle East. His appointments as arbitrator include ICC, DIAC and AFSA references, together with appointments to dispute boards on major infrastructure projects. He is a Part II DIFC Registered Practitioner and is included on the DIAC and OIC-AC lists of arbitrators.
Abdul was recognised in The Lawyer Hot 100 2025 and was shortlisted for Construction Junior of the Year at the Chambers UK Bar Awards 2026.
