Position

Hanne Stevens is a leading regulatory barrister. Hanne spent her formative years as a barrister at 2 Hare Court as a versatile practitioner undertaking a range of criminal work.

Before her return to Chambers, Hanne was senior in-house counsel at Capsticks LLP, one of the UK’s largest and most specialized firms for professional regulatory law and healthcare.

Beyond her work as a barrister, Hanne has enjoyed leadership roles in  BPP Law School, human rights group, Rights Watch UK and international diplomacy at the UK Mission to the United Nations in New York.

Hanne was a presenting lawyer in the Independent Office of Police Conduct overseeing police regulation and sits on the independent decision-making panel of the Bar Standards Board.
