Position

Gretel is a dynamic barrister practising in all areas of commercial law including civil fraud, insurance, art and cultural property law, insolvency, banking and soft intellectual property.

Gretel’s recent instructions range from defending a claim to set aside a judgment for fraud, and freezing injunctions and jurisdiction challenges in large cases involving allegations of fraud in the High Court, to bankruptcy petitions and trials in the County Courts. Gretel is equally confident acting as sole counsel and as part of a team.

Gretel maintains a keen academic interest in the Law and enjoys writing articles or giving talks when she can. She also volunteers with CLIPS and Advocate.

Called 2021 Lincoln’s Inn; former Judicial Assistant to Lord Briggs in the UKSC and JCPC (2020-2021); former solicitor at Slaughter and May (qualified in 2018)
