Position

Ceri has a broad and successful practice covering all aspects of landlord and tenant and real property litigation, with a particular focus on the management of residential developments.  Areas of specialist expertise include:

  • The acquisition and exercise of the right to manage

  • Appointment of managers

  • Service charge disputes

  • Leasehold enfranchisement

  • Building Safety Act 2022

  • Lease variations

  • Commercial lease renewal

  • Easements

  • Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 (TLATA 1996).

Ceri regularly appears led and unled in the County Court, First Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) and High Court.  She is valued by clients for being tough yet approachable and for her practical and commercially-focused advice.

Ceri is a contributor to a number of practitioner texts, including Building Safety Act 2022 (ed. Andrew Butler KC and Ian Quayle, Law Society 2026) and Service Charges and Management (Sweet & Maxwell 5th Edition).

Before coming to the Bar, Ceri enjoyed a successful career as a civil servant working in the UK and abroad.
