Career

Alexander acts for both claimants and defendants, primarily in multi-track matters, both as sole counsel and as junior to senior juniors/leading counsel.

Alexander’s practice covers claims of considerable value, such as fatal accident claims, claims involving brain injuries, significant and multiple orthopaedic injuries extending to spinal injury and amputation claims and claims where the main ongoing issue is psychiatric injury. He covers liability in road traffic, employer’s (including construction sites) and public liability claims. Further, Alexander is well known for his expertise in dealing with issues of fundamental dishonesty, both the substantive and procedural points that are vital to properly addressing such allegations.

As well as personal injury, Alexander also undertakes employment work. This gives him significant experience dealing with and arguing contentious issues of disability, vital in Ogden claims with disability multipliers. His experience puts him in a prime position to be able to fully advise clients on maintaining or disputing such disability multipliers, often being one of the most significant heads of loss and pursue the position through to trial if need be.

Alexander sits as a Deputy District Judge in civil on the Midlands Circuit.
