Position
Amy became a tenant of Exchange Chambers in October 2025 following the successful completion of her pupillage under the supervision of Andrew Ward, and also Chris Gutteridge and Andrew Wastall.
During her pupillage, Amy attended and assisted on numerous matters in both the County Court and High Court including high value Trials, Joint Settlement Meetings, Inquests, CCMCs and Conferences. Amy also has experience assisting Counsel in drafting Particulars of Claim, Defences, Preliminary Schedules of Loss, Counter-Schedules, Orders and Advices on both Liability and Quantum, over a range of Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence matters.
Amy is developing a broad personal injury practice and has been involved in a number of cases spanning from Low value Road traffic accidents to public liability, employers’ liability and clinical negligence matters.
Amy has experience acting for both Claimants and Defendants in a wide variety of matters including:
- Representing both individuals and organisations in a wide range of trials on the Small Claim and Fast Tracks.
- Making a range of applications and securing orders to rely upon additional expert evidence and set aside or vary existing court orders and directions, including on the Multi-Track.
- Successfully representing clients in both liability and quantum hearings, including cases involving credit hire, public liability issues and more complex Road Traffic Accidents.
- Acting for clients in a variety of matters including OIC, Stage 3 and infant approval hearings.
In addition to her court work, Amy is frequently instructed to draft pleadings, and to provide advice on a wide range of personal injury matters, including both liability and quantum.
Before Coming to the Bar, Amy engaged in a variety of legal opportunities, working with charities such as BVL, the Environmental Law Foundation and Student Action for Refugees to improve accessibility and social mobility within the legal system and profession.
