Career
Adele is a criminal barrister who regularly acts in cases involving serious violent, sexual and financial offences, both prosecuting and defending. Recently, she has represented clients charged with rape, violent disorder and perverting the course of justice, and has prosecuted cases of class A drug supply, GBH, and robbery. In addition, she has experience of private prosecutions acting on behalf of a local authority in cases involving breaches of health and safety and environmental legislation and unlawful eviction.
Prior to coming to the bar, Adele worked in legal roles at the Home Office, the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) and the Independent Police Complaints Commission (now Independent Office for Police Conduct). After her undergraduate degree and before commencing her legal studies, she worked for an auction house specialising in ancient coins.
