Position
Georgina is recognised as a leading junior practising in inquests, inquiries, police and public law, human rights, civil liberties and malfeasance. She is instructed in cases raising issues of constitutional importance, national security, policing powers and human rights as well as high-profile inquests and inquiries.
Georgina is on the Attorney General’s A Panel of Counsel.
She acts for coroners, individuals, police forces, political parties, families, social media companies and public authorities.
Georgina appeared as junior counsel for the Rt Hon Boris Johnson in the UK Covid Inquiry and Cabinet Office v Chair of the UK Covid-19 Inquiry [2023] EWHC 1702 (Admin), which considered the disclosure of WhatsApp messages to a public inquiry. Since then, she has appeared in some of the most significant cases for police and public authorities, including Chief Constable of Sussex Police & CPS v XGY and R (L1T FM Holdings and LetterOne Core Investments) v Secretary of State in the Cabinet Office being heard by the Supreme Court in Autumn 2026.

Career
Georgina was called to the Bar in 2006 and has always practised at 5 Essex Chambers.
Before joining chambers, Georgina was the Middle Temple Fox Scholar in 2007 and worked at McCarthy Tétrault in Toronto.
