Position
Michael specialises in complex, high-value commercial litigation, construction and engineering disputes, and international arbitration. He acts as sole and junior counsel at all stages of disputes, including in urgent and multi-jurisdictional matters.
His commercial practice encompasses banking and finance, international trade, the sale and supply of goods and services, trusts and general contractual disputes. His construction and engineering practice includes adjudication, arbitration, mediation and litigation concerning delay, defective works, payment disputes, professional negligence, prolongation, valuation and termination.
Michael’s previous career as a Senior Project Engineer for global construction firms gives him a strong understanding of the technical and commercial realities of construction projects. He is particularly well placed to deal with disputes involving complex expert evidence.
Michael accepts public access instructions and is authorised to conduct litigation.
Career
Called to the Bar in 2018. Before joining Crown Office Chambers in November 2025, Michael spent several years at an elite US law firm, having previously qualified at a leading London set.
Before commencing his legal career, Michael worked as a Senior Project Engineer for global construction firms and ran his own residential property business. He has also served as a Visiting Tutor in Contract Law at Queen Mary University of London and as a trustee of Peace Child International.
