Eliza Harris

Position

Before studying law and commencing pupillage, Eliza enjoyed a career as an actor, training in New York, and performing in London and worldwide. Whilst studying for her law degree, Eliza was an intern at Amicus, a charity providing equal access to justice and due process for those facing the death penalty in the USA. At the end of the internship, Eliza was taken on as a member of staff, running the charity’s social media and undertaking casework on several capital cases.

Whilst studying, Eliza also spent time with the CPS in their RASSO department, where she developed an interest in serious sexual offence cases, particularly those involving vulnerable witnesses. Her Master’s dissertation was on the relatively new offence of non-fatal strangulation, and she remains highly interested in this area of the law.
