Position
Abigail Robinson joined Drystone Chambers in September 2025. She has a busy practice on the South Eastern circuit, prosecuting and defending in equal measure. Abigail is a CPS Grade 3 Prosecutor and also appointed at Level 2 on the CPS Serious Crime Panel and a member of the CPS RASSO Panel.
Abigail has extensive experience in cases involving serious violent, sexual and multi-handed offences. Her work includes prosecuting and defending matters such as sexual assault, section 18 wounding, complex multi-handed trials, and cases raising issues of modern slavery. She also has significant experience in the Youth Court covering a range of offences.
Abigail has developed particular expertise in cases involving defendants who are unfit to plead or otherwise highly vulnerable. She has both prosecuted and defended a number of Section 4A “Do the Act” trials. In addition, she regularly represents defendants who are fit to plead but present with significant vulnerabilities, requiring a high level of client care. Her experience on both sides of the courtroom enables her to support vulnerable clients sensitively, while ensuring their cases are advanced effectively and without causing unnecessary distress to any party involved.
She is also experienced in dealing with child witnesses as well as cases involving interpreters and intermediaries, including those in a section 28 format.
