Mark’s practice focuses on Employment and Education law. Mark has acted as sole counsel in the EAT and High Court, and as junior counsel in the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.
In his employment practice, Mark has obtained sums of over £1m for Claimants and successfully defended claims of over £10m for Respondents. His recent cases include:
Tesco Stores v Element [2025] EAT 26: EAT decision concerning expert evidence in an equal pay claim involving over 50,000 employees. Jump Trading v Couture [2023] EWHC 1305: High Court application for interim injunctive relief to enforce a restrictive covenant.In his education practice, Mark specialises in disability discrimination cases and challenges to school inspection reports. He represented the Respondent in the Upper Tribunal in MM v Royal Borough of Greenwich [2024] UKUT 179.
