Position

Line Marie Pedersen has dealt with issues of environmental law for more than 20 years. Line is head of DLA Piper Denmark’s environmental law team as well as head of the Real Estate Practice Group in Copenhagen.

Line assists in particular Danish enterprises, institutions and public authorities in environmental matters. She has extensive experience in advising on environmental and wastewater discharge permits.

Moreover, she advises on the Danish Environmental Assessment Act, including the completion of environmental impact assessments and the issue of EIA permits. Line also provides assistance regarding registration and notification of contamination, planning of pollution abatement measures, clean-up issues, environmental compensation and environmental damage.

In addition, Line has in-depth knowledge of planning legislation, nature conservation and the construction of coast and climate protection measures as well as the erection of wind farms and other renewable energy facilities. Finally, she advises hazardous establishments especially in relation to the Danish Executive Order on the control of major-accident hazards involving dangerous substances.

Line lectures on issues of environmental law at the Association of Danish Law Firms.

She is also a member of the Executive Committee of Danske Miljøadvokater (Danish environmental lawyers) and the author of Contaminated Soil as well as the chapter entitled Regulation of real estate in Commercial criminal law, both published (in Danish only) by Karnov Group in 2015.
