Senior Associate

Milagros Malen Gaido is a Senior Associate at DLA Piper Argentina, where she initially joined as a paralegal. She is part of the Corporate and Business Law Department, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, financing of public and private companies, banking transactions, and general corporate advisory work for both local and international clients with operations in Argentina.​

In her professional practice, she has advised on complex corporate law matters and has actively participated in high-value domestic and cross-border transactions. Among her most notable experiences, she advised Galileo Technologies Corporation in connection with a USD 75,000,000 loan agreement. She has also played a key role in significant mergers and acquisitions, including acting as counsel to International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (IFF) in the divestiture of its Microbial Control business unit to LANXESS, which involved the transfer of shareholdings in Argentine entities as well as the assignment of assets and employees. In addition, she advised Banco Itaú on the acquisition of Uruguayan fintech companies, contributing to the corporate and transactional aspects of the deal.​

Milagros graduated with honors from the University of Buenos Aires School of Law in 2020. She further strengthened her academic background through specialization programs in Mergers and Acquisitions at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella and in Environmental Law at the University of Buenos Aires. In December 2024, she earned her LL.M. in International Business Law from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University (Toronto, Canada), also with honors, with a focus on international transactions and investment law in the energy sector.
