Kyoungho Kim is an attorney at Dentons Lee, specializing in international construction contracts, dispute resolution, and international arbitration.
Mr. Kim received an LL.B. from Yonsei University and passed the 47th Korean bar exam. Following completion of a legal training at Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea (37th Class), he was qualified as a Korean lawyer. In addition, after earning an English law degree from BPP Law School in UK, he was also qualified as both a solicitor and a barrister in England & Wales, UK.
He started his legal career at Yulchon LLC, one of major law firms in South Korea, advising major multi-national corporations on various fields of laws. He also practised as an in-house lawyer at POSCO, dealing with the legal matters related to the company’s overseas investment projects, and then spent several years in Barakah nuclear power plant construction site in UAE as an in-house lawyer for the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO). After having gained invaluable hands-on experience of engineering and construction law at the multi-billion dollar mega project overseas, he joined Yoon & Yang LLC (also known as Hwawoo), another one of major Korean law firms, advising on a wide variety of construction and investment projects, including spending one year at Yoon & Yang LLC’s Ho Chi Minh office in Vietnam. Prior to joining Dentons Lee, Mr. Kim served as a legal director position at Onejoon Co., Ltd., a mechanical engineering, manufacturing, installation and commissioning company, whose primary market is the production of high temperature furnace systems for the treatment of cathode and anode material in secondary batteries.
