Position

Ling Yi is a partner in the Corporate Practice Group and the Trust, Estates & Wealth Preservation/Family Office practice. She advises high net worth individuals, trustees, single and multi family offices on tax matters, as well as trust and estate planning matters, and Heads the Non-Profit / Philanthropy practice.

She advises clients on their family business and succession planning, and provides a broad range of advice to assist them and their families on their activities across the globe. She has vast experience on investments and cross-border transactions, and has advised many clients on regulations, investment structures, commercial dispute resolution, infrastructure projects, mergers and acquisitions as well as direct investment transactions.

She has been recognised in Asian Legal Business' Top 40 under 40 list of outstanding legal professionals in the region in 2020, and was awarded the Wealth Management Institute Chairman’s Award for Individual Excellence in 2023. She has worked on cross-border projects in emerging markets, where due diligence, project development, execution and financing are challenging. Through her familiarity and understanding of the business environment and legal regulations, she has advised clients on structuring, risks transfers and risk mitigation solutions to navigate challenges.
