Position
Loke-Khoon Tan is a partner and Head of IP & Technology Practice of Dentons Hong Kong. Widely recognised in the region and globally for his extensive experience in Intellectual Property (IP) law, particularly in Hong Kong and Mainland China, Loke-Khoon focuses on the structuring and enforcement of intellectual property rights and comprehensive anti counterfeiting strategies.
His practice covers trademarks, designs, copyright, trade names, computer software, passing off and unfair competition, as well as labelling laws, food, drug and health regulations, and consumer, media and advertising laws. With the growth of the new economy, Loke-Khoon also advises on Internet and social media matters, media and entertainment, artificial intelligence, and technology related legal issues.
Loke-Khoon has substantial experience representing major brands and multinational corporations across a wide range of industries, including luxury and fashion, retail, consumer goods, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, media and entertainment, alcohol and spirits, and food and beverage.
Loke-Khoon is an award-winning IP lawyer and led the regional IP & Technology practice and Consumer Goods & Retail Industry practice of his prior firm for two decades.
He is recognised as an Eminent Practitioner for Intellectual Property in China/Hong Kong by Chambers Greater China 2026 and is inducted into the Hall of Fame for Intellectual Property in Hong Kong by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2026.
