Career
Rocío Córdoba is a partner at Dentons Paz Horowitz with more than 17 years of experience in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate governance, corporate restructuring, and commercial contract negotiations. She currently leads the firm’s Banking and Finance practice, advising national and international financial institutions, Fintech companies, and insurance entities on regulatory matters, credit operations, and compliance issues.
She also has extensive experience advising foundations, corporations, NGOs, and startups on incorporation processes, regulatory compliance, and the development of social and technological projects. In addition, she is an active member of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee, supporting low-income clients and social impact initiatives.
Rocío holds a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador, an LL.M. from the University of Melbourne, a master’s degree in Financial, Stock Market and Insurance Law from Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar, and a master’s degree in FinTech and Financial Innovation from ThePower Business School.
