Legal Director

Sara is the Director of the Tax practice area at Dentons Paz Horowitz. She advises clients on the full range of tax work including day to day advisory and long and short- term tax planning. She assists clients with tax audit processes performed by the Ecuadorian Internal Revenue Service, with tax claims processes, and requests for tax credits refunds.

Sara also assists clients from a variety of sectors with strategic investment contracts with the Ecuadorian State that provide tax benefits and in general advises on efficient tax structures. She is also experienced in tax compliance, and the determination of tax risks that could affect our clients’ financial statements. Along those lines, Sara also prepares tax compliance reports that must be submitted to the control bodies in Ecuador.

Sara has performed financial audits, identifying financial risks, performing financial indicators analysis and the evaluation, design, implementation and operational effectiveness of controls, determining the reasonableness of financial statements and drafting external financial statements audit reports.
