Position

Evan Z. Lazar is Co-Chairman of the Global Real Estate Group at Dentons. He also is a Member of the Global Board and Global Vice Chair of Dentons around the world.

Evan is widely recognized as a top tier real estate lawyer specializing in multi-country property investment, joint ventures, and finance matters. He has over 30 years of experience acting as lead partner on major institutional real estate transactions involving from single assets to large portfolios in Europe and globally in the logistics, data center, residential, office, retail and hotel sectors.

He has built an excellent, institutional client base, which includes major leading investors, Private Equity and pension funds, insurance companies, borrowers and developers. His clients include Corebridge Real Estate Investors (formerly AIG Global Real Estate), Blackstone, GIC, Harrison Street, Heimstaden Bostad, Heitman International, Round Hill Capital and Starwood Capital Group, to name a few.

Career

Evan served as the Co-Chair of Salans’ Global Real Estate Group for 10 years before Dentons was founded.  Prior to that, he was the founder of the Central European Real Estate Practice at Weil, Gotshal & Manges and later Co-Chairman of their European Property and Finance Group. Before moving to Europe in 1993, Evan was a real estate lawyer in Philadelphia with Wolf, Block, Schorr & Solis-Cohen LLP.
