Richard is a specialist in real estate finance and restructuring acting for a variety of stakeholders on solvent, distressed and insolvent matters.

Richard provides expert and commercial advice on all aspects of real estate finance and acts for a variety of lenders, borrowers and sponsors on investment and development finance with a particular expertise on large portfolios.  He regularly deals with off-shore lending structures and complex intercreditor arrangements and is known for his pragmatic and solution focused approach.

Richard is a member of DWF's financial services and hospitality sectors with a particular focus on hotel investment and development finance.

Richard has also has significant experience acting for clearing banks, building societies, asset-based lenders, insolvency practitioners, fixed charge receivers, owner-managed businesses and creditors in relation to work out strategies, restructuring and enforcement processes. He has a particular focus of distressed real estate debt and assets.

Richard has completed secondments with Barclays Bank and Nationwide Building Society.
