I am a Partner in the Commercial Litigation team and head of the Russian and CIS desk, leading a team of experts in complex and substantial cross-jurisdictional litigation and arbitration.

Partner - Dispute Resolution

Andrew's expertise spans the commercial and contractual litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution fields and I deal with complex contractual disputes, shareholder claims, corporate disputes, IT disputes and commercial agent regulation claims. He has a particular expertise in working with organisations in the oil and gas and technology sectors.

Andrew has substantial experience of working on complex and high value commercial disputes, in particular international and cross-jurisdictional matters. He has fluent Russian, French and German speakers in his team. Andrew recently worked for a Russian client on the BP-TNK litigation, successfully achieving a 3-billion-dollar award for the client. He has also acted for a Swiss company in the metals sector and ran a successful multi-million-pound swaps and derivatives action against an international German bank, as well as acting on an 80 million Euro claim for a German company relating to a complex cross jurisdictional contract.

Andrew's team was involved in the BP TNK litigation case and collectively wrote an experts report on English Law for the Russian Court resulting in the client obtaining a court award of approximately $3 billion.

Andrew was previously a partner in the international team at a national firm that won the Law Society award for excellence for exporting legal services.
