Andrea Scafidi is a Partner in the Insurance Department at DWF Italy. For years, Andrea has been providing specialised legal advice in the insurance sector, supporting both Italian and international companies and intermediaries. Andrea handles judicial and extrajudicial disputes, as well as compliance, regulatory matters, and risk management.

Andrea’s work mainly focuses on Financial Lines (D&O, PI, W&I, POSI coverage) and product liability. Andrea has gained significant experience in Italian and cross-border litigation, particularly concerning directors’ and officers’ liability and professional indemnity.

Andrea also deals with corporate compliance and serves as a member of several Supervisory Bodies under Legislative Decree 231/2001 for Italian and multinational companies. Andrea is actively involved in defining organisational models for risk prevention.

In addition to professional practice, Andrea holds institutional roles: Andrea was for a long time Secretary General and a member of the Board of Directors of Nedcommunity, the Italian association of non-executive and independent directors, where Andrea promotes best practices in corporate governance.
