Abigail Zuk is a highly experienced Managing Associate Solicitor within Swinburne Maddison’s Dispute Resolution team. She obtained her Law degree from York University before completing the Legal Practice Course at Northumbria University in 2012. Qualifying as a solicitor in 2014, Abigail spent several years gaining post-qualification experience at a respected regional law firm before joining Swinburne Maddison in 2018. She has played a key role in the team’s growth and was promoted to Associate Solicitor in 2019 and then to Managing Associate in 2020.
With a strong background in litigation, Abigail specialises in contested probate matters. She is regularly instructed by private individuals in relation to claims against estates. Her expertise covers a broad range of contested probate and trust disputes, including inheritance claims, applications for the removal of Personal representatives and will validity challenges.
Abigail also acts for clients in various commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, contentious insolvency matters, professional negligence claims and personal injury claims. She has extensive experience in leading high-value, multi-track cases in the Business and Property Courts, often involving multi-faceted and cross-jurisdictional elements.
Recognised for her strategic approach, Abigail advises clients on effective litigation strategies to achieve their objectives efficiently and cost-effectively. She regularly attends mediations and joint settlement meetings, working proactively to resolve disputes at the earliest opportunity. Abigail is dedicated to providing outstanding client care, ensuring that she understands her clients’ goals from the outset and guides them towards the best possible outcome.
