Joe joined Slater Heelis in May 2026 as a Solicitor in the Family Team and is based in our Manchester Office.

Prior to qualifying, Joe undertook his training contract working in other areas such as Wills & Probate and Licensing before then spending 18 months in Family. Joe also completed a Law Masters, for which he achieved a distinction, before then completing the Solicitors Qualifying Exams (SQE) alongside his training.

Joe has already gained valuable experience during his time in family law already supporting a variety of cases dealing with divorce, financial remedy disputes and child arrangements matters.

Before a career in law, Joe had worked in project management across 8 years and working with commercial clients which include International Sports Federations, National Governing Bodies and large pharmaceutical companies.

When Joe isn’t working, he enjoys playing football as well as attending various gigs and festivals with friends.
