Principal

Charles leads the firm’s corporate practice.

He handles corporate transactional work, mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and also provides general advice on business matters as they arise. The vast majority of Charles’ workload centres around the acquisition and disposal of music catalogues and rights over businesses. As well as working on music/copyright assets, he frequently assists clients with business start-ups (including drafting shareholder agreements and terms of business), joint venture and commercial contracts, intellectual property(including software and development agreements), employment, loan and security agreements.

Charles is currently advising on the acquisition of music publishing assets (including the writer’s share) and neighbouring rights royalties for a music publisher.

He has close connections with Malta and sits on the board of the Malta Business Network.

Charles qualified as a solicitor in 1999.
