Jean-Baptiste Thiénot joined CMS Francis Lefebvre in 2018 and became a partner in 2022.

He practices in intellectual property law and focuses on patent litigation in the French court system. He is also a Unified Patent Court (UPC) registered representative.

He frequently acts in complex litigation relating to products subject to specific regulations, such as health products, cosmetics, and vaping.

He advises on and drafts contracts, including those related to R&D, assignment and licensing, technology transfer, and rights portfolio audits. He also assists with implementing innovation protection policies, including those related to employee inventions.
