Position
Romain Marsella joined CMS Francis Lefebvre in 2000 and became a partner in 2014.
He practices in tax law and provides advice and handles litigation for national and international corporate groups on all aspects of taxation. He has a particular focus on the insurance and renewable energy sectors.
He has extensive experience over a long period advising insurance groups on the French Insurance Code and the Mutuality Code:
- during reorganisations (which often involve insurance portfolio transfers);
- and during tax audits (including negotiations with the National and International Tax Audit Directorate (DVNI) and disputes litigated before the courts).
He also advises renewable energy groups on acquisitions, disposals, financing/refinancing, and reorganisation (mergers, spin-offs) and provides support during tax audits.
