Juan Camilo Rodríguez is a Partner and Head of the Corporate/M&A and Commercial practices. He also co-heads the Real Estate practice.

He advises national and multinational clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including M&A transactions, foreign investment, corporate governance and contractual arrangements. His experience covers complex cross-border transactions, shareholder agreements, joint ventures, agency and distribution agreements, and technology transfer matters.

Juan Camilo has extensive experience leading high-profile M&A transactions, including divestitures, equity investments and asset disposals for major companies. Notably, he led one of the most significant management buy-outs in the Colombian financial sector.

He also advises investors and multinational companies on establishing and operating in Colombia, as well as on competition law matters.

In addition, he has over 30 years of experience advising family-owned businesses and high-net-worth individuals on estate planning and succession strategies. His practice is further complemented by significant experience in real estate projects.

He is a member of the CMS Latin America Committee and the firm’s International Executive Committee.
