Banco del Pacífico has successfully secured a USD 500 million credit facility from JP Morgan, supported by a historic USD 225 million guarantee issued by the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF). The successful execution of this highly sophisticated financial structure was made possible through the strategic legal advice provided by Flor Bustamante. Partners Mario Flor and Alejandro Perez led the firm’s representation of CAF, advising on the structuring, documentation, and implementation of the USD 225 million guarantee that underpinned the transaction. This operation sets a new benchmark in terms of volume and complexity for Ecuador’s financial sector.
